Our photography reflects who we are as artists and people. Soulful, fresh, funky, creative, different, rule-breaking, anything but traditional, and always fun! Our work is very colorful and we also love vintage, black and white and some of our own custom one-of-a-kind creations. El Cortez Wedding Photography by Theorie San Diego

We are so excited to showcase Sharina + Rafael's amazing El Cortez wedding. Sharina and Rafael are an adorable urban couple who live right in the heart of San Diego's East Village, making the El Cortez Don Room the perfect location for their urban outdoor wedding. We love the outdoor ceremony site on the patio overlooking beautiful San Diego, and the Don Room ballroom is of course one of San Diego's historic wedding venues.

We have all seen the devastation and sorrow that hit Haiti following the earthquake on Tuesday. Our hearts and prayers go out to the hundreds of thousands of families and lives affected forever by the loss of loved ones. We want to help in some small way to raise funds for the Haiti Relief efforts. Today through Sunday, January 17th, 2010 for every $20 in prints you purchase, Theorie will donate $10 to the American Red Cross Haiti Relief effort.

There is nothing you have to do to qualify. Every order of photographic prints placed on our online gallery between today and Sunday, January 17th, 2010 will qualify. Please note, no discount codes or coupons will be accepted for combination with this special event. Thank you in advance for any donations you can provide, either through the purchase of prints with us or directly through the charity of your choice. Hip downtown client seeks modern maternity portraits to match their urban lifestyle. We were super excited to photograph Viviana around scenic San Diego. Joes on the Nose by Theorie featured on Bridal Inquirer Blog

San Diego has some amazing wedding vendors, but one of our favorites is the organic espresso catering and wedding coffee stand service Joes On The Nose. They are available for your wedding or special event and can be found at many of the local farmer's markets too! The Orange Coffee Truck is impossible to miss, and was just around the corner from Donnille and Lukasz's wedding ceremony in Little Italy. We posted some pictures we did with Donnille at the Orange Coffee Truck on our Facebook Fan Page, and we were so excited to see that the Bridal Inquirer Blog featured our post!

postcards from canada

We just got back from a fabulous trip to the eastern part of beautiful Canada, where we spent a week with Amy's family on Kaminiskeg Lake. It was the first time Maurice had the chance to meet our new niece Samantha, so it was extra special, since this was a place Amy's family has been going for more than 20 years. The pictures with the green deck show the view of the lake from the front yard ... spectacular and breathtaking and oh so peaceful. It was rather chilly the week we were there, so we snuggled by the fire playing board games and Wii and even made s'mores with coat hangers ... fun! One day we took a drive through the Algonquin National Park. Though we didn't see a moose, we found some amazing vistas and took a fun trek through a bog. Canada is a beautiful country, full of rocks, trees and water. The seasons are well on their way to changing up there, with a few signs like the leaves turning vibrant colors and falling to the earth. We hope you enjoy the postcards!
